An Apple a Day Won’t Keep the Competitors Away
In June 2007, we saw the rise of the mighty iPhone; you know a phone is pure gold when you sell 270,000 units within the first 30 hours of launch. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Apple decided to add 3G, a few new features, and a sleek new design, all at a solid price point. More than 5.2 million units sold later, Apple is near the top of the mobile phone market, edging out a longstanding leader — Blackberry.
But their days are numbered, the touchscreen era has begun.
LeBron is Really Good. Six Times Over
The Cavaliers have put out a website. Please check it out, for your own education. The music alone is worth it: www.lebronisreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallygood.com/
This is hilarious. And I’m not going to make any promises as to how much basketball content will make it to this site, but this needed to be acknowledged. First of all, I am an absolute avid Lakers fan and hope the best for Kobe and the Purple and Gold this season. And how did it glow? What’s more is that people claimed to first notice the pair at the Grammy’s this past February, where his black/white colourway on the international stage basically defined its impending release.
Where the Wild Things Are
In a summer absolutely jam-packed with high-budget action films, “Where the Wild Things Are”, a children’s picture book written in 1964 by Maurice Sendak is being adapted by Spike Jonze, famed music-video director / skateboarder / friend of Jackass guys. The story details the imaginary visions of a young, mischevous, wolf-suit wearing boy Max, who is being punished without supper. At just ten sentences long, the book’s adaptation has had many disputing the creation of this feature and just about everyone is worried about the results.
One Step Closer to the Galaxy Far Far Away
Supposedly in March 2008, Apple filed a patent application for a “realistic holographic 3D display experience.” The iCom is reportedly “a music player, a digital picture frame, a weather station — and a holophone.” Cool.
