Fred Perry X Stussy – “Blank Canvas” Collection
This was one of the collaboration collections I was looking forward to when I first heard about it. I figured it was going to be a mix of Fred Perry’s undeniable class and Stussy’s modernist edge. The patterns and styles are definitely on par, except for the massive collaboration logos that engulf the wearer’s entire backside. They look great, head-on. You can buy the collection in February at oki-ni.

Bedwin S/S 2010 Lookbook
Tokyo’s Bedwin has recently released their spring/summer 2010 lookbook. They’ve remained consistent in maintaining solid cuts and clean lines, while also incorporating some “out there” patterns and designs. All in all it’s worth a look.
HAVEN X Maiden Noir – “The Great North Project”
It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything to do with clothes, so here’s a cool colab with the Vancouver based HAVEN and Maiden Noir. It’s entitled “The Great North”. Suiting, as it was designed with the Winter Olympics in mind. Sweet toques.
“This year the theme centers around the Winter Olympics which are being held in our home country of Canada. More specifically the beautiful city of Vancouver which is also the site of our newly opened HAVEN SELECT shop. The collection itself consists of Heavy Flannel Overshirts, Embroidered Tees, Beanies, and Tote Bags. The overshirts are produced in Japan and are crafted with some seriously heavy Japanese flannel fabrics. The tees are made in the USA and feature gold and silver embroidery in the spirit of the olympics. Branding is strong but tastefully done with lasered leather labels and double branding throughout.”
2011 Lexus LFA
This bad boy debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show back in October (though its concept was first announced/shown back in 2005), and this article has been sitting in my drafts box since then, whoops. (I’m slowly getting around to finishing a bunch of articles that have been on my to-do list). Anyway it’s packing 550 ponies and gets from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds. They’ll be making approximately 500 of these starting production late 2010, releasing 20 per month until late 2012. If you’ve got deep pockets you can get on the wait list now, they go for about $350,000 USD.
You can configure your own Lexus LFA on their website. From the seats to the stitching, you can customize the car right down to the colour of the brake calipers.
