Wiz Khalifa, born Cameron Jibril Thomaz on September 8, 1987 is a new-age rapper based out of Pitt. His most recent mixtape “Burn After Reading” follows the techno-hip hop smash, “Say Yeah (Better of Alone)” on the Deal or No Deal mixtape. After signing with Warner Bros in 2007, he released the Prince of the City 2 Mixtape and Grow Season before eventually leaving the label after his debut album Flight School kept getting pushed. He went on to collaborate with New Orleans’ Curren$y to make How Fly.

He brings his electronic-influenced sound to a forward-thinking rap market in 2009 with Burn After Rolling.

The video for the first single on the comeback tour of Chris Brown, “I Can Transform Ya” featuring Lil Wayne on the axe even though he doesn’t strum the thing once. People are responding to it pretty well but it doesn’t nearly have the weight of his classics.
